Who We Are

Baker County Community Organizations Active in Disaster serves the citizens of Baker County, through maintaining Partnerships with Faith Based Organizations, Community Organizations, Non-Profit Organizations, Private Industry, Federal, State and Local Government Agencies, that are active in Baker County providing programs, services and resources to meet the unmet needs of Baker County citizens.  We will serve Baker County Citizens by assisting our Partners in their programs to support Baker County Citizens in preparing for, responding to, and recovering from losses due to disasters.  We will assist our Partners in the goal of successful implementation of disaster aid to Baker County Citizens through Collaboration, Coordination, Communication and Cooperation, in blue skies and grey skies, with an exceptional focus on the whole community of Baker County.

What We Do

The mission of the Baker COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS ACTIVE DURING DISASTER is to foster effective disaster preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery for the people of Baker County in times of disaster, through:

·                     Collaboration:

·                     Communication: publishing and disseminating information; and

·                     Cooperation: creating a climate of cooperation, information sharing, and meeting together;

·                     Coordination: encouraging a common understanding and providing a liaison with city-county government officials, as well as resource management with the community;

·                     Preparedness: increasing mutual awareness and encouraging effective disaster-related training, policies and procedures.
